David Flusberg David Flusberg is an American expat living in Bucharest, Romania. He is the 11th generation descendent of a famous Eastern European mystic, and the grandson of a ritual Torah Scribe.

David began to paint in 2001 (at the age of 25), after returning to New York City from South East Asia, where he trekked deep into the Laotian jungle with a Hmong Shaman. It was there, by the eerie light of the Medicine Man's cooking fire, that David was overcome by a desire to recreate primitive and symbolic artistic visions.

David's paintings reflect a personal mythology inspired by travels to the sacred wonders of the world; moonscape mountain hikes and deep underwater scuba-dives; legends of ancient heroes and saints; monumental faces, animals and plants reincarnated as archetypal objects.

David has exhibited in a number of solo and group exhibitions, including a feature of 3 large paintings collectively titled “Wandering Tribe” at the Makor Gallery in Manhattan.

David Flusberg is also a businessman with a track record of entrepreneurial success. In 2004, he co-founded Adama Holding, a Bucharest-based real estate company which owns property in 5 countries and has built more than 1,000 apartments in Romania.
